Lewis Bass International Engineering Services (LBIES) Achieves IAS FEB Accreditation
March 25, 2025 — San Jose, California — Lewis Bass International Engineering Services (LBIES), a leading provider of third-party engineering and regulatory compliance services, is proud to announce that it has been officially accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) as a Field Evaluation Body (FEB), effective March 25, 2025. This accreditation further solidifies LBIES’s role as a trusted authority in electrical product conformity and field labeling across the United States.
The IAS FEB accreditation enables LBIES to conduct field evaluations and apply field labels on unlisted electrical equipment in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 79 and NFPA 791 standards. This nationally recognized accreditation allows LBIES to serve as an approved third-party evaluator for electrical equipment in any city or county throughout the U.S., working directly with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to ensure compliance and safety.
Under this new scope, LBIES is authorized to evaluate the following electrical product groups:

Power Distribution Equipment (Under 600 Volts):
Including switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers, transformers, and switches. -
Industrial Control and Utilization Equipment:
Including industrial control panels, factory automation equipment, industrial process systems, motor-operated tools, and machinery such as air compressors and pumps.
With this accreditation, LBIES can now assist clients across industries such as manufacturing, technology, biotech, and construction, in meeting local and national safety requirements for electrical systems that lack a traditional NRTL listing from the factory.
